He explained that floods had destroyed homes, fields, and livelihoods across Punjab. These were not only natural calamities but also the result of official negligence. The Centre, he added, failed to announce a timely relief package, exposing its indifference to the state’s suffering.

The boycott, according to Tarsem Singh, was a principled stand for Punjab’s rights. He stressed that Sikh political prisoners remain in jails despite completing their sentences. Amritpal Singh, who won Parliament with the highest margin, has been targeted under NSA for the third time.

He concluded that both BJP and Congress betrayed Punjab. The boycott, he said, should be remembered as a historic protest demanding justice and dignity for the people of the state.
