The council found them guilty of professional misconduct under the Punjab Medical Registration Act, 1916 and the Code of Medical Ethics, 2002. These doctors made false claims about their higher qualifications and specialisations. Some also worked without valid registration or issued incorrect medico-legal certificates.

During the suspension, they cannot practise medicine or use their medical titles in Punjab. They also cannot issue prescriptions or use letterheads or stamps showing their medical credentials.

This Punjab Medical Council disciplinary action aims to protect patients and restore trust in medical ethics. It sends a clear message that fake medical claims and unethical practices will not be accepted.
