Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav named the accused: Amarjeet Singh (22) from Amritsar, Manbir Singh (26) from Tarn Taran, and Mohammad Tofiq Khan (42) from Mumbai. Police recovered three .30 bore PX5 pistols, three 9mm Glocks, one 9mm Beretta, and three .30 bore pistols.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said Amarjeet and Manbir contacted Pakistan-based handlers through social media. These handlers supplied weapons to disturb peace. Police arrested Amarjeet first with a Glock pistol. Later, they caught Manbir with nine more pistols. Both had the same Pakistan-based handler. The handler sent weapon consignments to India using drones.

Investigations showed Mohammad Tofiq Khan routed money to Pakistan through hawala. He used rented premises across Punjab for operations. Police arrested him with Rs 2.5 lakh. The Gate Hakima police station registered a case under the Arms Act. Authorities continue to trace the full network.
