Around 20,000 owners have already received notices, while warnings are being sent to the remaining 10,000. The department has suspended registrations of 5,000 e-rickshaws, and warned that the registrations of the remaining 25,000 will also be suspended if operators fail to renew their fitness certificates by December 15.

The surge in unregulated e-rickshaws was also discussed at Monday’s Traffic Control Board meeting, where officials raised concerns about safety risks, congestion, and violation of transport rules.

The RTO has urged owners to complete fitness renewal immediately to avoid registration suspension and penalties. The crackdown is expected to enhance traffic discipline and road safety across Jaipur.
