Andhra Pradesh Government Steps In to Rescue 215 Telugu People Stranded in Nepal as unrest continues in the neighboring country. The State Real Time Governance (RTG) Minister Nara Lokesh is personally monitoring the safety and rescue of affected citizens. The RTG team has identified 215 Telugu citizens stuck in different parts of Nepal. Nara Lokesh has skipped the NDA’s Super 6 Super Hit event to stay at the RTG headquarters in Amaravati. From there, he is coordinating rescue work and reviewing updates from officials.

The State Control Room is now active to track citizens and share information with families. In addition, helpline services have been set up so relatives can report details of missing persons.

The Andhra Pradesh government said it is working closely with the Ministry of External Affairs for quick evacuation. Officials stressed that the safety of stranded Telugu citizens is the top priority. Rescue operations will continue until all 215 citizens return home safely.

Citizens, especially youth, have taken to the streets in large numbers, creating a tense situation that pushed the government to collapse. Several top leaders, including the Prime Minister, ministers, and the President, have already resigned, but demonstrations continue. This unrest has raised serious concerns for Indians living in Nepal.

In this backdrop, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh canceled his scheduled visit to Anantapur to focus on the safety of Telugu citizens stranded in Nepal. Reports indicated that a significant number of people from Andhra Pradesh remain stuck in the crisis-hit nation. Lokesh immediately shifted his attention to arranging their safe return.

To handle the situation, the minister ordered the establishment of a special war room. He is expected to coordinate with officials and other ministers later in the day. The war room will collect details of those stranded and create a database to assist in evacuation.

Lokesh has directed officials to report at the RTGS center before 10 a.m. to monitor rescue efforts. A dedicated call center and WhatsApp helpline have also been set up. The minister personally plans to oversee the coordination with the central government to ensure the safe return of Andhra Pradesh citizens from Nepal.
