The move gained attention across Bihar as Jitendra Nath Rahul Kumar join Congress along with several other former party leaders at a formal event in Patna.

Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram and state in-charge Krishna Allavaru welcomed the new members into the party. Party workers gathered in large numbers and expressed confidence about strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.

Jitendra Nath, who earlier served as RLM’s vice-president, and Rahul Kumar, a former state spokesperson, said they felt ignored in their previous party. They claimed the leadership failed to address workers’ concerns after the recent elections.

Congress leaders said the new entrants will help expand the party’s support base in different districts. Both leaders promised to work actively for Congress and connect with people across Bihar.

In the same step, Upendra Kushwaha appointed Madhav Anand to show that he values his elected MLAs.

Madhav Anand won from Madhubani in the recent elections. Kushwaha also chose his wife Snehlata as the chief whip. She won from Sasaram. These choices followed heavy criticism. Many leaders felt upset after Kushwaha made his son Deepak Prakash a minister. Deepak is not an MLA or an MLC, and this created strong protests.

Some senior members even walked away from the party. Madhav Anand also felt ignored because he did not get a minister post. By giving him this new role, Kushwaha aims to keep the party stable. All four RLM MLAs had already given Kushwaha the right to select the legislative leader and whip.

This move now looks like an effort to bring unity and reduce conflict within the RLM.

During the live telecast of the Bihar Assembly session, a rare moment brought the issue of Bihar Assembly nepotism into focus. The camera captured several family members of political leaders sitting together in the same row. This scene quickly became a talking point across the state.

On the second day of the session, the seating arrangement placed Jyoti Manjhi and her daughter-in-law Deepa Manjhi side by side. This visual added to the growing discussion on Bihar Assembly nepotism. Two rows ahead sat Snelata Kushwaha, and next to her was her minister son, Deepak Prakash. Nearby were JDU MLC Dinesh Singh and LJP MP Veena Singh’s daughter, Komal Singh.

Later, when Snelata spoke, the camera again captured her son, who attended the session as a minister. In the same row, Deepa Manjhi and her mother, Jyoti, were also seen together. Jyoti won from Barachatti on a HAM ticket, while Deepa won from Imamganj on an RLSP ticket.

The Bihar elections saw many leaders’ relatives win or lose seats. Leaders like Samrat Chaudhary, Tejashwi Yadav, and Nitin Navin succeeded again, while others such as Tej Pratap Yadav and Veena Devi lost.

The RLM units dissolved decision has created major changes inside the party. Upendra Kushwaha took this step after reviewing the organization’s condition. The RLM units dissolved order covers all state and district bodies, and the change takes effect immediately.

The core committee met on Sunday under the leadership of national president and MP Upendra Kushwaha. After a long discussion, members agreed that the party needed a fresh structure. To handle daily work, a five-member steering committee will guide all programs and activities.

Madan Chaudhary will serve as the convener. Subhash Chandravanshi, Prashant Pankaj, Himanshu Patel, and RK Sinha will support him as members. Their job includes managing events, coordinating teams, and improving internal systems.

During the meeting, senior leaders such as Madhav Anand, Alok Singh, Rampukar Sinha, Jang Bahadur Singh, Angad Kushwaha, and Smriti Kumud also shared their views.

In the previous Bihar elections, the RLM contested six seats and won four as an NDA partner. Kushwaha’s wife, Sneh Lata, won the Sasaram seat. His son, Deepak Prakash, later joined Nitish Kumar’s cabinet as Minister of Panchayati Raj.

The Upendra Kushwaha nepotism controversy has once again become a hot topic in Bihar politics. The issue started when his son, Deepak Prakash, entered the Nitish Kumar cabinet without becoming an MLA or MLC. The opposition claims this is clear nepotism. Because of this, the Upendra Kushwaha nepotism controversy is growing in the state.

Upendra Kushwaha reacted to the criticism by sharing an old saying linked to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He wrote that flies always buzz around food. He added that people should keep eating with the right hand and keep shooing flies away with the left. His message hinted that critics will keep talking, and leaders should continue their work.

Although he did not directly mention his son, many believe the post targeted the ongoing attacks on Deepak Prakash’s appointment. Opponents keep raising questions about fairness in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet choices.

The family’s political presence is strong. Upendra Kushwaha is a Rajya Sabha MP. His wife, Snehlata, won the Sasaram seat. His son, Deepak, now holds the Panchayati Raj portfolio. This strengthened the opposition’s charges of favoritism.

The controversy continues, and Bihar watchers expect more statements, reactions, and political heat in the coming days.

Bihar’s political scene is heated after Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash Kushwaha defended himself against charges of nepotism. He said the focus should be on his work, not his background. He repeated that Deepak Prakash abilities not family should be the point of discussion. He added that he has observed politics since childhood and learned it from his father. He said this experience shaped him and helped him understand the system. He also stated that Deepak Prakash abilities not family should guide public opinion.

Deepak said opposition parties are creating unnecessary controversy. He asked for time to prove himself. He said he has been active in politics for five to six years. He has worked with people and learned how public service functions. He explained that this is his first time as a minister, but not his first time in political work.

Critics point out that he became a minister without contesting an election. They accuse Upendra Kushwaha of promoting his son. Supporters say Deepak earned the position through commitment and skill. The Panchayati Raj Department is now his responsibility, and he promises to deliver results. The debate continues, but Deepak remains confident and open in his responses.

Upendra Kushwaha appoints son Deepak Prakash as a minister in the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar. He said this step would stop leaders from leaving his party. He also repeated that Upendra Kushwaha appoints son Deepak Prakash based on both loyalty and ability.

Kushwaha explained that many MPs and MLAs left his party in the past. In 2014, three MPs won from his party, but two of them left later. The same happened in the 2015 assembly elections. He said these exits weakened the party and created the same problem again and again.

To avoid this, he chose someone from his own family. He believes that family members stay loyal and help strengthen the party. He also praised Deepak Prakash for his energy and said new people with fresh ideas can help Bihar grow.

Deepak Prakash said he felt honored to work under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He promised to fulfill all responsibilities carefully. He also said comfort matters more than clothes when asked about taking the oath in jeans and a T-shirt.

Kushwaha added that both young energy and senior experience are important for Bihar’s development.

Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the tenth time, and 26 ministers also joined the new cabinet. A surprising name in the list was Deepak Prakash, who became a minister even though he did not contest the election. This move has created strong political interest, and the role of the Deepak Prakash Bihar cabinet decision is now widely discussed.

Deepak Prakash is the son of senior Bihar leader Upendra Kushwaha. Many people may not know Deepak, but they surely know Kushwaha, who leads the powerful Luv-Kush community. This group includes OBC Kurmi and OBC Kushwaha communities and has strong influence in Bihar. Kushwaha’s party, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), won six seats and secured important support for the NDA.

Upendra Kushwaha chose his son for the minister post instead of his elected MLAs. Deepak Prakash must become an MLA or MLC within six months to continue in the position. RLM won Bajpatti, Madhubani, Sasaram, and Dinara seats with good margins. Kushwaha’s wife, Snehlata, also won from Sasaram.

The Nitish Sarkar HAM RLM Minister List is creating strong interest in Bihar as Nitish Kumar prepares to form his new government. People want to know who will enter the cabinet this time. The NDA returned to power with a big victory, and its partners expect key positions. The Nitish Sarkar HAM RLM Minister List will likely include leaders from JDU-BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and RLMO.

Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM is expected to get one ministerial post. Many believe his wife, Sneh Lata Kushwaha, could join the cabinet. She won from Sasaram and has no criminal cases listed. Some party leaders, however, want Upendra Kushwaha’s son, Deepak Prakash, to take the post. Even though he did not contest the election, he may still enter the Assembly within six months.

Another strong possibility from RLM is Madhav Anand, who won from Madhubani. He is seen as a key face and may also receive a ministry.

HAM is also likely to secure one seat. The biggest discussion is about Jitan Ram Manjhi’s son, Santosh Kumar Suman. He has served as a minister before and could return to the cabinet.

Meetings with BJP leaders, including Dharmendra Pradhan, suggest that final decisions will be made soon.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), contesting 101 seats in Bihar, has no candidates in six districts — Madhepura, Khagaria, Sheikhpura, Shivhar, Jehanabad, and Rohtas. The party contests only one seat each in Saharsa, Lakhisarai, Nalanda, Buxar, Jamui, and Nalanda. In contrast, BJP has the highest presence in West Champaran, fielding eight candidates in 12 seats.

In East Champaran, BJP contests seven of nine seats, showing the Champaran region’s importance for its campaign. Meanwhile, BJP has seven candidates in Patna district and maintains a strong base in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur, and Madhubani.

Compared to 2020, when BJP contested 110 seats, the party’s reach has reduced slightly, with Rohtas newly added to its no-contest list. The NDA seat-sharing sees JDU and BJP fielding 101 candidates each, LJP (R) 29, and HAM and RLM six each.

This election shows BJP’s focus on key regions while relying on allies in others.
