The Siwan ATM robbery came to light early Tuesday morning when shopkeepers opened their stores. The ATM, located inside the Haji Ghulam Arshad Complex, was found damaged. Cash worth up to ₹27 lakh is suspected to be stolen.

According to initial information, the ATM had ₹27 lakh loaded just two days earlier. The criminals allegedly used a gas cutter to break open the machine and remove the cash quietly during the night.

After receiving information, police reached the spot and began an investigation. Bank officials, the ATM channel manager, and vendor staff also arrived to assess the damage.

CCTV footage from nearby areas is being checked to identify the suspects. Bank staff said they tried to contact the emergency number 112 but did not get a response, which delayed police arrival.

Superintendent of Police Vikram Sihag confirmed the theft and said the exact stolen amount will be known after a full audit.

Saran ATM robbery occurred near a petrol pump west of Gobind Chak Mor under Sonpur police station limits. The criminals arrived in a car and first disabled security systems. They sprayed and covered the faces of three CCTV cameras inside the ATM.

The gang then used a gas cutter to break open the ATM machine. The shutter was already open, which made their job easier. They escaped with cash worth ₹16 lakh within minutes. No security guard was deployed at the ATM at the time.

During the investigation, police found that the ATM alarm and sensor were faulty. This raised serious concerns about bank security arrangements.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot soon after receiving information. SDPO Pritish Kumar, Station Head Rajnandan, and SI Mithlesh Kumar led the initial probe. Later, SP Dr Kumar Ashish inspected the scene and ordered immediate arrests.

A forensic team and senior SBI officials from Patna also examined the site and collected samples.
