Bihar Social Welfare Minister Lakhendra Paswan discussed the proposal with Union Social Justice Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar in New Delhi. The meeting focused on expanding support under the National Overseas Scholarship scheme. The central government agreed to include more students from Bihar.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, living costs, and other study-related expenses. This support will allow students to focus on academics instead of finances. Officials said the scheme will boost confidence among young learners.

The Bihar government also raised concerns about student accommodation. It requested funds to build more hostels for SC and ST students. Leaders stressed that safe housing improves learning outcomes.

The central government welcomed the suggestions and promised cooperation. Both governments believe education can change lives and reduce inequality.

]]> Telangana Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar appealed to opposition parties not to politicize issues related to schools and children. He urged them to offer constructive advice and suggestions instead. Speaking to the media at his Hyderabad office on Friday, he highlighted recent steps taken by the government to strengthen tribal welfare and education.

The minister said the government released ₹11 crore pending under tribal welfare. He noted that the previous administration neglected SC and ST welfare employees. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has since appointed senior IAS officer Savyasachi Ghosh as Special Secretary to address employee concerns, he added.

According to Laxman, payments were released to several categories of staff. Contract, outsourced, and part-time employees received ₹11.53 crore. Subject associates, senior faculty, and coaches were given ₹2.38 crore. Head office staff received ₹22 lakh, while ₹1.04 crore was allocated for sweeping, sanitation, and catering services.

He also announced that construction of Young India Integrated Schools had started in 18 constituencies. Criticizing the previous KCR government, he said it found funds to build Pragathi Bhavan but not SC/ST welfare hostels. He praised CM Revanth Reddy for dining with hostel students, unlike the former CM.
