Minimum temperatures have dropped sharply across the state. Many places recorded night temperatures between 7.7°C and 12.6°C. Day temperatures remained low as well, staying below 19°C in several districts. Foggy conditions reduced visibility in some regions to less than one kilometre.

Northern and south-western districts are expected to feel the cold more strongly. Cold winds blowing from the west have increased the chill factor. Nights and mornings will remain very cold, while afternoons may bring only limited relief.

In Patna, sunshine appeared briefly after several gloomy days. However, cool winds continued to keep the weather uncomfortable. Dense fog during early hours may affect road and rail travel in many parts of Bihar.

The weather department has advised people to remain cautious during foggy mornings. Elderly people and children should take extra care. The cold spell is expected to continue for the next five days.

The agency stated that the system may strengthen further over the next 48 hours. It is expected to move northwest and could turn into a strong cyclone over the southwest Bay of Bengal. Meteorologists are closely monitoring the development as it may influence weather patterns in several regions.

The Telangana Weather Man explained two possible scenarios for the cyclone’s path. If the storm forms between November 26 and 28, it may impact north Andhra Pradesh and eastern Telangana districts. Under this pattern, moderate rainfall is expected in Hyderabad and several parts of Telangana.

If the cyclone forms between November 28 and 30, it may intensify significantly and move toward Odisha, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. In that situation, Telangana may not get rain but could face a sharp drop in temperatures, leading to severe cold conditions across the state.
