JD(U) leader Sanjay Jha shared Ravi’s comments on social media. In her analysis, Ravi said Bihar has seen clear improvement in income levels and affordability during Nitish Kumar’s tenure. She added that stable governance and policy focus helped the state move forward on several development indicators.

According to the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey, rural monthly per capita spending in Bihar grew about 4.5% annually between 2011 and 2024, which is higher than the national average of around 3.1%. Urban consumption in the state also increased faster than the national rate.

Ravi also noted that Bihar was once considered a “BIMARU” state. However, recent data shows that the state has made visible progress in reducing poverty and improving the quality of life.
