]]> The Jubilee Hills by-election result is being announced as counting continues. Votes from the Sheikhpet Division have been completed. In the second round, the Congress registered 9,691 votes, while the BRS secured 8,609 votes. Together, both rounds have given the Congress a lead of 1,144 votes.

By the end of two rounds, the BJP received only 307 votes. A total of 31,182 votes were polled in the Sheikhpet Division. A slight advantage has been recorded for the Congress here. The party had focused on this division from the beginning and expected a larger lead. However, it managed to stay ahead with a margin of 1,144 votes over the BRS.

The BRS expected silent voters to support its candidate. Those expectations were not met, resulting in a setback for the party. With the counting in Sheikhpet completed, attention has now shifted to the Vengalrao Nagar and Somajiguda divisions.
