Shreyasi Singh is not only a minister but also a celebrated athlete. She won a gold medal in shooting at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a silver medal in 2014. Her experience in sports motivates her work to support Bihar’s young talent.

Shreyasi was born on August 29, 1991, in Gidhaur, Jamui district of Bihar. She comes from a respected political and sports family. Her father, Digvijay Singh, served as a Union Minister and was elected several times from the Banka Lok Sabha seat. Her mother, Putul Kumari, also served as an MP.

Shreyasi entered politics in 2020 when the BJP gave her a ticket from Jamui. She won her first election by defeating RJD’s Vijay Prakash. In the 2025 elections, she won again with a huge margin of nearly 54,000 votes. This strong victory helped her become a minister in the Nitish Kumar cabinet.

Today, she is seen as a young leader who can inspire both sportspersons and youth in Bihar. Her dedication and success show how determination can change a person’s life.
