Put in to bowl first, India’s bowlers proved too strong for the UAE batting line-up. The hosts were bundled out for a mere 57 runs, unable to cope with the pace and spin combination. Shivam Dube was the standout performer, taking three wickets for only four runs, while Kuldeep Yadav tightened the screws with his sharp spin. The rest of the bowling attack maintained pressure, never allowing UAE’s batsmen to settle.

Chasing the modest total, India’s openers wasted no time. Abhishek Sharma played a brisk knock of 30 runs off just 16 balls, setting the tone with powerful strokes all around the park. Shubman Gill anchored the innings with an unbeaten 20, while Suryakumar Yadav chipped in to finish the chase comfortably. India crossed the finish line with more than 15 overs to spare, underlining their dominance.

The emphatic win not only boosts India’s confidence but also sends a strong message to their Asia Cup rivals. With both bat and ball firing in the opening game, the team has signaled that they are serious contenders for the trophy.

For the UAE, it was a tough outing, but the experience of facing a top international side will be valuable as they look to regroup for their next match.

With this victory, India have set the tone for the tournament, and fans will now be eager to see how they perform against stronger opponents in the upcoming fixtures.
