The YSRCP protest marches sparked political activity across Andhra Pradesh as the opposition party launched statewide demonstrations against the ruling TDP-led coalition government. The YSRCP protest marches aimed to highlight what the party called unfulfilled election promises and anti-people policies.

Following a call from YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, party workers organized rallies, protests, and public meetings at several locations. Leaders accused the government of failing to deliver key welfare commitments made during the elections.

In response, TDP leaders and supporters held counter rallies in many areas. They defended the government’s performance and criticized the opposition for what they described as politically motivated protests.

The parallel demonstrations created a charged political atmosphere across the state. Police monitored the events to maintain law and order and prevent clashes between rival groups.

With both parties stepping up their public outreach, the political contest in Andhra Pradesh is expected to intensify in the coming weeks.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has created history by becoming the state’s longest-serving chief minister. He crossed the record held by late Devaraj Urs after completing 2,792 days in office. The milestone was achieved during his second term on January 6.

Devaraj Urs served as chief minister for a total of 2,792 days across two terms between 1972 and 1980. Siddaramaiah matched the record earlier this week and then moved ahead. He earlier completed a full five-year term from 2013 to 2018, a rare achievement in the state’s politics.

Since returning to power in May 2023, Siddaramaiah has completed 963 days in his second term so far. At 77, he remains one of the most experienced leaders in Karnataka. He stated that he never entered politics to break records and expressed confidence in completing his term.

The achievement comes amid talk of a power-sharing arrangement with Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. Shivakumar congratulated Siddaramaiah and wished him well. Supporters celebrated across Karnataka by hosting community feasts, many serving the chief minister’s favourite nati koli.

Bihar witnessed a tense and eventful day with major political developments, serious road accidents, and strict police action across several districts. The developments kept both political circles and the public on edge.

Urban Development and Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin was appointed as the BJP’s National Working President. The decision created excitement within the Bihar BJP. Party leaders said the move reflects the growing influence of Bihar in national politics.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal targeted the Congress rally held in Delhi. He described the protest as “theatrics” and said people clearly understand the reality behind such demonstrations.

In Patna, a shocking road accident took place on Digha Bridge. A truck collided with the car of Legislative Council member Bandidhar Brajwasi. The MLA alleged that the crash was an attempt to murder him. His driver and bodyguard survived after the vehicle’s air safety system activated.

Police action remained strong across the state. In Lakhisarai, officers seized a large quantity of foreign liquor being smuggled through a parcel van and arrested two people. In Bettiah, two youths were caught with a loaded pistol during routine vehicle checking.

Flight cancellations continued due to the ongoing IndiGo crisis. The state government also warned teachers against discussing salary issues on social media.

Ahead of the previous elections, TDP State General Secretary Nara Lokesh undertook the Yuvagalam padayatra across Andhra Pradesh. During that period, TDP leaders documented the names of leaders who allegedly harassed them in a “Red Book.” At the time, party leaders openly warned that action would follow once the TDP came to power.

Meanwhile, the mention of the Red Book has now created political ripples. Minister Vasamsetti Subhash said former YSRCP minister Kodali Nani reacts nervously whenever the topic arises. While speaking to the media in Amaravati, Subhash strongly criticised Kodali Nani. He recalled that Nani had made offensive remarks against TDP leaders earlier to please former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

However, Subhash alleged that the same leader now fears accountability. He dismissed YSRCP’s signature campaign against government decisions on medical colleges as a political drama. Instead, he advised the party to analyse why it secured only 11 seats in the 2024 elections.

Furthermore, Subhash accused the previous government of turning Visakhapatnam into a drug hub. In contrast, he stated that the present coalition government continues to focus on Visakhapatnam’s development. He added that Lokesh remains committed to long-term growth and governance reforms.

The Telangana Congress has accelerated its efforts to fill long-pending nominated posts, and the move immediately energised party leaders across the state. As the government enters its third year, the leadership wants to strengthen the organisation before the upcoming local body and municipal elections. Therefore, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud announced that the party will complete appointments for working presidents, spokespersons and corporation chairpersons within this month.

Recently, the Congress finalised district president posts ahead of the panchayat polls. Moreover, AICC observers toured several districts and gathered feedback from local leaders to shape the next phase of appointments. After the Jubilee Hills bypoll, the party filled almost all DCC chief positions, except in Ranga Reddy and Sangareddy. Consequently, the focus has now shifted to nominated posts, mainly for leaders who narrowly missed election tickets.

Senior leaders are intensely tracking the developments because the working president posts hold significant organisational value. Additionally, discussions within the party hint at appointing four or five working presidents to ensure wider social representation. As a result, aspirants from multiple communities have started lobbying aggressively.

In the coming days, Gandhi Bhavan is expected to witness high activity. Furthermore, panchayat poll results may influence the final picks, since the leadership plans to prioritise leaders who deliver strong performances in their constituencies.

TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Telangana Rising Global Summit brought strong investment flows to the state. He added that the event showcased Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s clear vision for Telangana. While speaking at the CLP office, he criticised Harish Rao and asked how many investments the BRS government secured in ten years. He said the summit’s success unsettled the former finance minister.

Goud announced that corporation chairpersons and board positions would be filled before the end of the month. He also mentioned that new PCC working presidents and campaign committees would be appointed soon. When asked about contesting from Nizamabad, he replied that the decision belonged to the party high command. He said he felt satisfied with his current PCC responsibilities.

He urged Harish Rao to clearly state the government’s position on employees’ concerns. According to him, several sectors suffered damage under a decade of BRS rule. He stated that Kavitha’s criticism emerged due to financial discrepancies being exposed. Goud also demanded an inquiry into her remarks regarding alleged irregularities.

The TPCC chief said Telangana experienced faster development under the Congress government. National leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge congratulated the state for hosting the summit. He said the Metro Phase expansion and Musi beautification would move forward. Goud added that the summit created a new identity for Telangana on the global stage.

The political journey of Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has turned into a major discussion in Telangana. She distanced herself from her father’s party and began a people’s outreach programme. Her attacks on Harish Rao and Santosh Rao created early tension. Now, her remarks targeting individual BRS MLAs have become a hot topic in state politics.

During a recent event in the GHMC area, Kavitha criticised Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao. She alleged that he focused more on land issues than on public welfare. Krishna Rao reacted strongly and accused Kavitha of several irregularities. He said he had seen many “like her” and warned that exposing her record would be damaging. He questioned her comments on corruption and challenged her to stop making personal remarks.

Kavitha’s statements have created intense friction inside the BRS. Leaders claim she is highlighting corruption that happened during the party’s decade-long rule. Her comments are giving political ammunition to opponents. Krishna Rao’s sharp counter has opened a new round of debate on the BRS–Kavitha rivalry.

Many leaders believe Kavitha’s aggressive stand may harm her more than help. Senior leaders have not joined her Jagruthi campaign. Questions remain about her political future, especially with ongoing allegations like the liquor case.

The Nitish Kumar cabinet meeting in Bihar will take place on November 25 at 11 am. This will be the first major meeting after the formation of the new NDA government. People across the state are watching this event closely because the Nitish Kumar cabinet meeting may bring several important decisions.

The cabinet is expected to approve the date for the first session of the new assembly. Leaders may also discuss development plans for youth, women, and rural areas. Many citizens are waiting to see how the new team will start its work.

This time, Nitish Kumar does not hold the Home Department. He will handle General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, and the Election Department. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary now holds the Home Department. The second Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha, will manage the Land Revenue and Mining Department.

All 26 ministers received their portfolios earlier in the day. This meeting is also special because Nitish Kumar has become Chief Minister for the tenth time. Both Deputy Chief Ministers and all cabinet ministers will attend.

Bihar’s youth and women are expected to follow the meeting closely, hoping for decisions that support growth, safety, and better opportunities.

The political atmosphere in Telangana has intensified after Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan granted approval for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to question former minister and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao in the Formula E race case. The development has triggered fresh debates on its possible impact on the state’s political direction, especially with local body elections approaching soon.

The BRS leadership is already facing multiple challenges. The party lost power in 2023 and also suffered defeats in recent MLC and Assembly byelections. Internal differences reportedly resurfaced after Kavitha distanced herself from party affairs. With the Governor’s approval, speculation has risen about a possible arrest of KTR, adding pressure on party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao at a crucial political moment.

Meanwhile, the BJP has repeatedly accused the Congress government of delaying legal action against KTR. The party claims irregularities in the Formula E race project were ignored. The Congress government earlier stated that the probe slowed because the Governor had not granted permission. With that hurdle now cleared, political circles are keenly observing the next steps.

The BRS has dismissed the allegations, calling the case politically motivated. KTR has openly challenged the government to arrest him if evidence exists. With momentum from the Jubilee Hills byelection victory, the ruling Congress may attempt to counter both BRS and BJP using this development. The political outcomes of the Formula E case will become clearer in the coming days.
