Workers from both rural and urban areas will join the protest. This may affect early childcare centres, where meals and pre-school services could face interruptions. Officials said some centres might stay closed during the strike.

Union leaders explained that the protest will be peaceful. They said workers face delayed salaries, poor facilities, and a lack of basic resources. Many centres do not have proper buildings or learning materials. Employees want a fixed monthly honorarium, timely allowances, and additional support staff to handle daily work.

The unions requested the State government to hold talks before the strike. Authorities said they are watching the situation and may issue instructions to reduce the impact on essential services.

Anganwadi employees stressed that the protest aims to improve both service quality and workers’ rights. They asked the public to cooperate and understand why the strike is necessary.
