Shraddha made the announcement during the trailer launch of Maddock Films’ Thamma, headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana, in Mumbai. Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan and Khurrana were also present. Shraddha told the audience, “Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is coming out with Choti Stree as an animated film, which will release in theatres for all age groups. It just feels amazing to be part of this universe.”

The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe began with 2018’s Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Its success led to films such as Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.

Vijan revealed a unique twist: “Choti Stree will end with a scene from Stree 3. It will transition from animation to live action and answer the backstory of the Stree character. It will release six months before Stree 3.”

Shraddha’s announcement has excited fans eager to see a fresh storytelling approach blending animation with live action in the horror-comedy genre.
