He said such incidents deeply hurt Sikh sentiments and disturb communal harmony in Punjab. Badal alleged that cases of sacrilege have increased continuously during the Aam Aadmi Party government’s tenure. He accused the state government of failing to protect religious sanctity and public faith.

Citing reports, Badal claimed that nearly 100 sacrilege-related incidents have occurred in the past four years. He said the government responds to these sensitive matters with politics instead of accountability and justice.

Badal also referred to an earlier incident in Sultanpur Lodhi. He alleged that police firing took place inside a gurdwara complex, which led to the disruption of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. He claimed the government tried to suppress the incident instead of punishing the culprits.

Appealing to the people of Punjab, Badal urged them to identify what he called deceptive forces that damage social unity. He alleged that several leaders linked to the ruling party have already faced court observations in sacrilege-related cases.

Badal reiterated that sacrilege is a serious crime and must be addressed firmly to restore public confidence and communal peace.

Kler met ADGP (Law and Order) SPS Parmar in Chandigarh. After the appearance, he told reporters that the Shiromani Akali Dal wants a fair investigation so that the truth reaches the public. Earlier, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal accused senior Patiala officers of acting at the behest of the ruling AAP and conspiring to stop rival candidates.

Badal had shared the audio on X on December 4. Patiala Police rejected the allegations and called the clip a fake, AI-generated recording created to mislead citizens and disturb law and order. The police registered an FIR at the Patiala Cybercrime Police Station.

Kler had also filed a complaint with the State Election Commission, demanding the suspension of officers named in the alleged conference call. Police summoned Kler after noting that he appeared to possess the original digital clip needed for the investigation.
