The BRS cadre have raised strong concerns over the inaccessibility of party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao. During the Telangana agitation, KCR stayed among people and leaders without restrictions. After becoming Chief Minister, he distanced himself from grassroots workers. Even after losing power two years ago, he stayed in his Erravalli farmhouse and avoided public meetings. Only senior leaders gained access, leaving second-level leaders deeply dissatisfied.

A similar situation has been reported around working president K.T. Rama Rao. Party members claim that a select group controls his appointments. Workers believe that only those close to this group secure meetings with KTR. Many leaders feel ignored despite their long association with the party. The perception of an isolated leadership has created unrest among lower-level cadres.

Party workers say they travel from districts to Telangana Bhavan but return without meeting senior leaders. They believe interaction with KCR or KTR would give them confidence. With local body elections approaching, they expect both leaders to become more accessible. Many feel the party’s future depends on better communication with grassroots workers.

The BRS continues to face defeats in recent elections, including the Jubilee Hills bypoll. Workers say strong local leadership is essential for improving results in the coming civic polls.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) commemorated the 14th anniversary of the Sakala Janula Samme, calling it a historic turning point in the struggle for Telangana statehood. In a tweet, he said the strike highlighted how strong and united the people’s aspiration for a separate state was.

KTR recalled that on September 12, 2011, during the Karimnagar Jana Garjana, BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) gave the call for the mass strike, which was met with overwhelming participation across Telangana. The movement resonated with the slogan “Aur ek dhakka, Telangana pakka” (One more push, Telangana is certain), symbolizing the people’s determination.

He expressed gratitude to all those who took part in the agitation, noting that the strike not only paralyzed the state’s functioning but also carried the intensity of Telangana’s demand all the way to Delhi , ensuring national attention and eventual success of the statehood movement.
