The government plans to correct the gap between official land values and real market rates. Officials said Telangana Land Prices in several areas differ widely from actual property prices. The registration department will update these values using a scientific method. The revised rates may come into effect by the end of this month.

District-level market value revision committees will study local property trends and recommend new rates. Many landowners had complained that government compensation for acquired land was lower than market prices. The revision aims to address this issue.

Bhatti said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the cabinet had alerted departments 48 hours before the cyclone, which helped save lives and protect property.

He instructed collectors and officials to continue relief work for another 24 hours as per the cyclone manual. The storm hit Krishna, Nalgonda, and Khammam districts, causing heavy damage in northern Telangana.

Officials covered cotton with tarpaulins and moved it to warehouses to prevent spoilage. Bhatti praised the power department teams for their quick action and round-the-clock work to restore electricity.

He reported that the cyclone damaged 11 sub-stations. Teams have already restored seven, and repairs on the rest will finish soon. Out of 101 33KV lines, 96 are now functional, and crews are repairing the remaining ones.

The Deputy CM said 237 11KV lines were affected, but 227 are back in service. He added that crews repaired 49 of 171 damaged transformers and 304 of 638 electric poles.

Bhatti promised to restore the rest within hours to stabilize power supply across cyclone-affected regions.
