Seven destinations in Kashmir are set to welcome tourists, including Aru Valley, Yanner Rafting Point, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park, Kaman Post, and two other picnic spots.

 Jammu Region Destinations

Five locations in Jammu are reopening: Dhaggar, Dagan Top, Shiv Cave, along with two more approved tourist sites.

These areas were closed as a precaution after the Baisaran Valley attack, which killed 25 tourists and a local resident. Earlier in June, authorities had reopened 16 destinations as security improved.

During the UHQ meeting, Lt Governor Sinha praised security forces for successful anti-terror operations but emphasized that “the war against terrorism is not over yet.” He directed forces to remain vigilant, continue proactive measures against radicalisation, and combat the drug menace to ensure tourist safety.

The reopening of these J&K tourist spots is expected to boost tourism and local businesses ahead of the autumn travel season. Visitors are advised to follow safety guidelines issued by the administration.
