]]> Brandix India, a leading textile company in Andhra Pradesh, is facing major losses due to U.S. trade tariffs. Company director P.C. Doraswamy met IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh at the Secretariat on Monday to explain the crisis. He said Trump-era tariffs had severely reduced the company’s export income and affected the textile industry nationwide. Doraswamy requested state support to protect jobs and revive production.

Minister Lokesh responded positively and assured immediate help. He said the government would assist Brandix and other textile units facing similar issues. Lokesh stressed that Andhra Pradesh aims to become a key export hub and would protect industries hit by global trade policies.

The minister also said he would discuss the issue with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for central assistance. As part of temporary relief, the state will launch short-term measures to ease financial strain on exporters.

Officials said Brandix is one of the largest employment providers in the state. Its stability is vital for Andhra Pradesh’s textile economy and export performance.
