Preliminary reports suggest the vehicle was overspeeding, lost balance, and collided directly with a highway divider. The victims included three women and two men, who died on the spot. The group had reportedly traveled from Uttar Pradesh to Gurugram for work.

Visuals from the scene show the Thar completely mangled, with debris scattered over 50 meters. Gurugram police reached the site, recovered the bodies, and began an investigation into the accident.

This is not the first such incident on the highway. Last year, a speeding car lost control after a rear tyre burst, hitting another vehicle and a motorcycle, killing two students and injuring three others.

Authorities have warned drivers to follow speed limits and exercise caution, especially on high-speed highways, to prevent tragedies like the Gurugram Thar crash deaths. The accident highlights the ongoing dangers of overspeeding and reckless driving on busy national highways.
