Passengers searching for routes such as Vijayawada to Hyderabad on Google Maps will now see available APSRTC bus services. Along with route distance and travel time, the map will display bus schedules and timings. This integration helps users check real-time bus options and plan their trips more conveniently.

When users click on the ‘Book’ option within Google Maps, they will be redirected to the official APSRTC website. From there, passengers can enter their details and make payments online easily. Officials said this feature was successfully tested on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad route.

Following the pilot success, APSRTC plans to expand this service across Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aims to make travel bookings simpler and more digital-friendly for passengers throughout the state.

Approvals for railway under-bridges at Kondayapalem and Bhaktavatsala Nagar in Nellore Town have already been granted. The projects are currently in the land acquisition stage, according to MLA Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy. He has written to Minister for Law, Justice, and Minority Welfare, N.M.D. Farooq, who is also the district in-charge minister, urging immediate action.

MLA Sridhar Reddy highlighted that these routes experience heavy road traffic and continuous public movement. He requested the minister to review the progress with senior officials and expedite the bridge works to ensure public safety and accident prevention in the region.

Additionally, a proposal for a flyover near Medicover Hospital at Chinthareddy Palem Junction has already been submitted. Minister Ponguru Narayana and MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy are actively pursuing the early completion of all three projects. MLA Sridhar Reddy urged Minister Farooq to personally intervene to fulfill the long-pending demand of Nellore residents.

The first accident occurred in Chevella’s Mirzaguda area on Monday morning when a tipper lorry rammed into an RTC bus, killing 19 people and injuring several others. Later that night, a private bus overturned near Jubilee Nagar in Eluru district, leaving one person dead and many injured.

The fifth major crash took place near Buggabaavigudem in Nalgonda district, where a private bus speeding along the Addanki–Narketpalli highway rammed into a tractor, injuring five passengers.
