Andhra Pradesh is extending strong support to Anganwadi workers, said Women, Child Welfare and Tribal Welfare Minister G. Sandhya Rani. She stated that the coalition government has been addressing their needs one by one. She added that no one listened to Anganwadi problems during the previous government’s rule. However, the new government responded quickly and fulfilled almost all long-pending demands.

The Minister explained several key measures introduced for their welfare. The government implemented gratuity benefits and began offering financial assistance for funeral expenses of deceased Anganwadi workers. She described the decision to convert mini Anganwadi centres into main centres as a historic reform. She also said that the government allocated ₹1 lakh to each centre to upgrade basic facilities.

Furthermore, Minister Sandhya Rani announced that Anganwadi workers received new smartphones with 5G network support. This step aims to improve efficiency and transparency in centre operations. She emphasised that the current government remains highly supportive of Anganwadi workers and continues to prioritise their well-being.

The Minister urged all Anganwadi workers to make full use of these opportunities and cooperate with the state administration. She assured them that more welfare programmes will be introduced in the coming months to strengthen the Anganwadi system further.

The session covered ten proposals, including a major push for modern transport in Dehradun. The Uttarakhand Cabinet Decisions Neo Metro approval marks a new step toward urban mobility.

The Cabinet agreed to present a detailed environmental protection report on the House floor. It also cleared the creation of multiple posts in the Prosecution Department, including 46 new Assistant Prosecution Officer positions.

Women employees received new work flexibility. They can now work between 9 PM and 6 AM with written consent and proper security arrangements. This reform came under the Labour Department’s review.

Under the Shop and Establishment Ordinance, the government moved to amend three IPC sections. Small shops will not face any burden, while large establishments must follow the updated rules.

In education, the Cabinet approved re-tests for Udayraj Inter College Kashipur and similar cases. It also allowed additional increments for selection-grade promotions.

For Dehradun, the Cabinet accepted the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s advisories for the Neo Metro project. These additions will shape planning and execution for the city’s future transit system.

BJP Mahila Morcha stages massive protest in Chandigarh as hundreds of women workers demanded the implementation of AAP’s ₹1,000-per-month promise. The protest created strong political pressure as women leaders accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal of misleading the women of Punjab. During the protest, participants repeated their call for accountability and insisted that the government honour its commitment.

The demonstration, led by Biba Jai Inder Kaur, drew a huge gathering of women workers. They marched from the BJP office toward the Chief Minister’s residence while raising slogans against the AAP government. Many protesters said women trusted the promise made during the 2021 campaign and now feel betrayed.

However, the situation intensified when Chandigarh Police stopped the march by placing heavy barricades on the route. Police teams blocked further movement, which led to heated arguments between the protesters and the security personnel. Officers detained several women leaders, including Biba Jai Inder Kaur and Parampal Kaur Maluka, creating chaotic scenes at the spot.

Even after the detentions, BJP Mahila Morcha stages massive protest with unwavering determination. Leaders said they would continue raising their voice until every woman receives the promised financial support. They insisted that the AAP government must deliver on its guarantee instead of offering excuses.

The protest highlighted growing political tensions in Punjab and reinforced the BJP’s strategy of engaging directly with women voters. Supporters said the fight will continue across districts if the government fails to take immediate action.
