Harmanpreet Kaur T20I Captain has created history in women’s international cricket with a major milestone. The Indian women’s team skipper has become the most successful captain in women’s T20 Internationals.

Harmanpreet achieved the feat after India defeated Sri Lanka in the third T20I at Thiruvananthapuram. India won the match by eight wickets and sealed a dominant performance. With this victory, Harmanpreet recorded her 77th win as captain in T20 Internationals.

She went past former Australian captain Meg Lanning, who had led her team to 76 T20I victories. Harmanpreet has now captained India in 130 T20I matches. Her consistency and leadership have played a key role in India’s rise in women’s cricket.

Meg Lanning has slipped to second place on the all-time list. England’s Heather Knight stands third with 72 wins as captain. Former England skipper Charlotte Edwards follows closely with 68 victories.

After the match, Harmanpreet expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance. She praised the bowlers for controlling the game. She said the series helped the team improve its T20 approach.

Harmanpreet added that the team aims to play with more aggression. She believes this mindset will help India in future global tournaments.

Smriti Mandhana’s Father Suffers Heart Attack; Wedding With Palash Muchhal Deferred

Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has postponed her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal after her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack on Sunday. The incident occurred at the Mandhana family’s farmhouse in Samdol, Sangli, where the wedding ceremony was scheduled to take place on November 23.

Mr. Shrinivas’s health suddenly deteriorated during breakfast, prompting the family to call an ambulance. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is currently stable but under continuous medical observation. Doctors have advised that he remain hospitalized for further monitoring.

Mandhana’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that the wedding has been deferred indefinitely. He said Smriti is extremely close to her father and decided not to proceed with the ceremony until he fully recovers.

Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were recently engaged at the DY Patil Cricket Stadium, the venue where the Indian women’s team won the 2025 World Cup.

Shrinivas Mandhana, a former district-level cricketer from Sangli, had always dreamed of pursuing the sport professionally and later provided full support to both his children, especially Smriti, who rose to become one of India’s top women’s cricketers.
