Maulana Abdullah Salim Chaturvedi Arrested after a controversial remark about the mother of Yogi Adityanath triggered protests and legal action. The cleric was detained from Purnia district in Bihar by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force. Maulana Abdullah Salim Chaturvedi Arrested following allegations that he made the remark during a religious gathering in the state.

The controversy began when a video from a Ramzan event went viral on social media. In the video, the cleric allegedly used inappropriate language while referring to the chief minister’s elderly mother. The clip quickly spread online and drew criticism from several political leaders and groups.

Police later registered cases in districts such as Bahraich and Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities invoked sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges related to promoting enmity and hurting sentiments.

Following the complaints, the STF detained Salim from Purnia and took him to Uttar Pradesh for questioning. Officials said the investigation is ongoing and further legal action may follow.

BJP leader Haribhushan Thakur Bachhaul has claimed that SIR in Bengal will change the upcoming Assembly elections. Thakur, who recently lost the Bisfi seat in Bihar, said that Mamata Banerjee will win her seat, but she will not come to power.

He explained that a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list is happening in West Bengal. According to him, the revision will remove fake voters. He claimed that voter IDs are being created using the names of many “fathers” for one person. He believes that this process will expose false entries.

While speaking to a YouTube channel in Patna, Thakur said that defeat and victory are part of politics. He also alleged that the candidate who defeated him used money heavily during the Bihar election.

Thakur accused the Election Commission of failing to conduct a fair election in Bisfi. He said that officials like the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, and DDC helped the opposition. He added that 75–80% voting happened in 80 booths and claimed that CCTV footage will reveal the truth.

Commenting on West Bengal, he said Mamata Banerjee enjoys strong Muslim support and some Hindu votes. But this time, SIR in Bengal will change the result, and she will not return to power.

Thakur also predicted a big victory for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, saying Yogi Adityanath will win comfortably.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister criticized Osama Saheb, son of late MP Shahabuddin, who is contesting from the RJD. Without naming him directly, Yogi said, “As the name, so the work,” referring to the candidate’s alleged criminal background.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted Bihar’s glorious history, mentioning Nalanda University, Lord Mahavir, and leaders like Rajendra Prasad and Jagjivan Ram. He said Bihar should not return to “jungle raj” and praised the NDA’s development work under Nitish Kumar and PM Modi.

Continuing his attack, Yogi Adityanath targets Osama Shahabuddin and accused the RJD of promoting lawlessness. He also reminded people of the acid attack case involving Chand Babu’s son, saying such criminals must never rise again. Yogi claimed the RJD, Congress, and Samajwadi Party support the mafia instead of development.

He urged voters to support NDA for peace and progress, saying Bihar’s identity must reflect its rich culture, not crime.
