Political tension has gripped Tamil Nadu after Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony faced an unexpected delay. The Tamil Nadu drama intensified after Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) reportedly failed to convince the Governor about its majority support in the Assembly.
Sources said TVK leaders shifted several MLAs to a private resort to prevent possible poaching by rival parties. The move sparked fresh political debate across the state. Reports also claimed that alliance talks and support negotiations are still continuing behind closed doors.
Vijay had earlier met the Governor and staked claim to form the government after TVK emerged as the single largest party in the Assembly elections. However, the Governor reportedly asked the party to prove its numbers before moving ahead with the oath-taking process.
Meanwhile, opposition parties accused TVK of engaging in “resort politics.” The Tamil Nadu drama has now become the biggest political talking point in the state, with all eyes on the final decision over government formation.
