Tarapur Turns Into a Battle of Prestige Between Samrat Chaudhary and RJD’s Arun Singh

Tarapur

Tarapur has emerged as one of the most watched constituencies in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary faces a direct contest with RJD’s Arun Kumar Singh. Voting began today in the first phase, and turnout reached 44.35 percent within the first two hours. Both the NDA and the Grand Alliance are claiming confidence in victory.

For Samrat Chaudhary, Tarapur holds deep personal and political significance. His father, Shakuni Chaudhary, served as an MLA multiple times and also held a ministerial position. His mother represented the same seat earlier. This election is seen as a test of his political legacy and his ability to carry forward the family’s influence in the region.

The campaign atmosphere in Tarapur heated up during the final phase when BSP candidate Ashish Anand endorsed Samrat Chaudhary. Anand said his support was driven by the developmental needs of Tarapur and the growing public backing for the BJP leader. His endorsement boosted confidence within the BJP ranks and strengthened Chaudhary’s position. With high voter enthusiasm and intense rival claims, Tarapur has turned into a defining battleground of prestige and legacy in Bihar’s 2025 polls.
