TDP MLC Raises Corruption Concerns in Vigilance Department with CM Naidu
A TDP Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) has alleged widespread corruption among vigilance officials in Andhra Pradesh, raising the matter directly with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The MLC, during a meeting in Kadapa, claimed that certain officials were misusing their positions for personal gain and interfering with the fair implementation of government schemes and investigations.
Highlighting specific instances of irregularities, the MLC urged the Chief Minister to take strict action to restore accountability and transparency within the vigilance department. He emphasised that such corruption not only undermines public trust but also hampers effective governance and the state’s development initiatives.
Responding to the concerns, CM Naidu assured that the matter would be thoroughly examined and directed senior officials to review vigilance processes, strengthen oversight mechanisms, and ensure that complaints of misconduct are addressed promptly. The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to clean and efficient governance in Andhra Pradesh.
