Tej Pratap is now the chief of the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD). He congratulated Nitish Kumar and all the new ministers after the ceremony in Patna. He said that Bihar’s youth want better opportunities and a safer future. He believes that good governance can improve the lives of 14 crore people in the state.
He also mentioned that the state can grow faster if leaders work together. His party did not win any seat in the 2025 elections, but he said he will still support good decisions made by the NDA government.
The swearing-in took place at Gandhi Maidan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Chief Ministers, and NDA leaders attended. The opposition stayed away from the event. A total of 26 ministers from BJP, JDU, LJP-R, RLSP, and HAM also took oath.
