The RJD family rift has once again come into the spotlight. Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Tejashwi Yadav made a strong remark about his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav. When asked if Tej Pratap would get an RJD ticket, Tejashwi replied that only those who remain members of the party will fight on the RJD symbol. His statement clearly hints at the growing RJD family rift.
Tej Pratap has often clashed with his younger brother. Recently, he visited Raghopur, Tejashwi’s constituency, and asked why the MLA was missing. He also met flood-affected families and distributed relief, which many see as his attempt to build a separate political image.
Tejashwi, currently on a state tour, said his party follows its own ideology and wished his brother good luck. But his firm words suggest he is not ready to compromise on party discipline.
The BJP and LJP quickly reacted, saying the Yadav brothers’ fight shows the RJD cannot manage either the family or Bihar. As elections near, the RJD family rift looks set to dominate Bihar politics.
