Telangana CM says ₹9,000 crore Rythu Bharosa aid will be given after municipal polls
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government will credit ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to farmers’ accounts after the upcoming municipal elections. He spoke at a public meeting in Miryalaguda, where he also launched part of his party’s local poll campaign.
Revanth Reddy said the Congress government has already spent more than ₹1 lakh crore on farmer welfare and related programs over the past two years. He urged people to remember the benefits of welfare measures like fine rice distribution, free power, free bus travel for women, and Rythu Bharosa before voting.
The Rythu Bharosa scheme aims to support farmers with direct financial assistance for seeds, fertilisers and other farming needs. The Chief Minister said releasing the ₹9,000 crore after the polls would strengthen farmers’ finances and further welfare work in the state.
