Telangana Congress’s Sama Ram Mohan Reddy Slams KTR

Telangana Congress leader mocks KTR as Ghajini

Telangana Congress’s Sama Ram Mohan Reddy slams KTR over Almatti Dam in a fiery attack that stirred Telangana politics. He accused the BRS working president of confusing people with shifting remarks on water-sharing disputes. He also called him “Ghajini,” mocking his memory lapses. This sharp remark quickly triggered a new war of words between Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

According to Reddy, KTR changed his stance on the Almatti Dam issue many times. Therefore, citizens are left uncertain about his actual position. He argued that leaders must stay consistent on water issues that directly affect farmers. Telangana Congress’s Sama Ram Mohan Reddy slams KTR over Almatti Dam not only for his remarks but also for what he described as BRS’s failure to protect Telangana’s water rights.

Moreover, Reddy stressed that Almatti Dam plays a crucial role in Telangana’s irrigation prospects. He alleged that the BRS government did not act strongly enough in talks with neighboring states. As a result, Telangana farmers suffered during drought years. He promised that Congress would fight to secure a fair share of water and protect agricultural interests.

The Ghajini remark made the debate sharper. Reddy claimed KTR’s frequent contradictions resemble a leader who forgets his own words. In fact, he said such behavior erodes public trust. Congress leaders insisted that this pattern exposes BRS’s weak governance and declining credibility.

Meanwhile, BRS supporters dismissed the comments as baseless and politically motivated. However, Congress cadres quickly used the controversy to rally workers. With Assembly elections approaching, the Almatti Dam row will likely remain a flashpoint. Therefore, both parties are expected to intensify their attacks in the coming weeks.
