Corporate Colleges Under Cloud in TS

Telangana corporate college violations raised as students demand inspections and strict action on syllabus and hostel rule breaches.

Corporate junior colleges in Telangana are facing serious allegations for violating Intermediate Board rules. Several private colleges, including Vedantu Junior College in Rangareddy district, are accused of running without proper permissions. Student unions say these colleges collect huge fees during admissions and finish the IPE syllabus in just two months.

Complaints have been lodged that these colleges focus only on JEE and NEET coaching throughout the year. Students allege that the academic syllabus receives attention only in the final months. Vedantu Junior College is being accused of running full-fledged coaching and academic classes without proper approval from the Board.

Another major allegation is about hostel violations. Students claim that the college is running co-educational hostels in the same premises, which is against Board norms. Parents express concern over student safety and privacy. Despite repeated complaints, officials have not taken action, student unions say.

Student organisations demand immediate on-site inspections at Vedantu and similar colleges. They are seeking strict action on unauthorised classes, hostel operations and syllabus violations. With large-scale complaints emerging from Rangareddy district, the response of the Intermediate Board is now being closely watched.
