The Telangana government has decided to celebrate Bathukamma festival with grandeur this year as well. For the festivities, the state has allocated ₹30 lakh to each district, totaling ₹1.20 crore.
The celebrations will officially begin on September 21 at the historic Thousand Pillar Temple in Warangal, marking the start of the floral festival. One of the major highlights will be on September 28, when around 10,000 women are expected to play Bathukamma at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, aiming to set a Guinness World Record.
The festivities will conclude on September 30 with the traditional Bathukamma immersion at Tank Bund in Hyderabad, an event that draws thousands of participants and spectators every year .
Officials said the state government is committed to preserving Telangana’s cultural identity through such large-scale celebrations , showcasing the rich heritage of the Bathukamma festival to the world.
