Telangana rains compensation announced Rs 1.30 crore

The Telangana rains compensation has been announced by the Congress-led state government, with a total of Rs. 1.30 crore allocated to support families hit by the recent heavy downpours. The government confirmed that this move aims to provide timely relief to those who suffered losses in different districts.

Under the new relief scheme, families of deceased individuals will receive Rs. 5 lakh each as ex-gratia. Those who lost livestock may be eligible for up to Rs. 4 lakh. Additionally, families who lost a single goat or sheep will get Rs. 5,000 in compensation. Officials stated that the Telangana rains compensation package is designed to address both human and livelihood losses in the affected areas.

The compensation scheme will cover residents in the most impacted districts, including Kamareddy, Medak, Asifabad, Suryapet, Bhuvanagiri, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Mulugu, Mahabubnagar, and Sircilla. District collectors have been instructed to implement the directive without delay, ensuring that the relief reaches families quickly.

This decisive step reflects the government’s focus on immediate disaster response, as well as its commitment to help citizens recover from the severe rainfall’s impact.
