The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has developed special industrial zones across the state to promote new industries. These zones aim to support entrepreneurs while creating employment opportunities for unemployed youth. Based on district priorities, layouts have been prepared for industries such as food processing, textiles, IT, steel re-rolling, pharma, electronics, and aerospace.
The layouts include plots with essential facilities like roads, electricity, water, drainage, and internet. To ease transportation, these zones are located close to major highways. Entrepreneurs can buy allotted plots at rates fixed by TSIIC depending on the market value in each district. Currently, 3,068 plots remain vacant across 23 districts, covering 7.87 crore square meters of land.
Vacancies are highest in Vikarabad with 694 plots and 57.8 lakh sq. meters. Siddipet has 674 plots, Jangaon 424, Kamareddy 224, Sangareddy 157, Ranga Reddy 141, Warangal 128, and Nagarkurnool 108. The remaining 15 districts together have 523 available plots.
However, some companies allotted land have not yet begun operations. Firms like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata, Faraday, White Gold Integrated Spintex, and several pharma companies received land but have not started activities. Authorities expect industries to utilize the plots soon.
