Telangana is set to become a major hub for artificial intelligence with the establishment of an “AI Center of Excellence. ” The initiative will be launched in partnership with Australia’s renowned Deakin University. The agreement was formalized today at the Secretariat, where the Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed in the presence of Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
The signing ceremony included the IT Department’s Deputy Secretary Bhavesh Mishra and Deakin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Martin. This collaboration aims to strengthen Telangana’s position in AI research and innovation, providing students, researchers, and industry professionals access to cutting-edge technologies and expertise. The center will focus on AI-driven solutions across sectors , fostering skill development, research, and industrial applications.
This partnership underscores Telangana’s commitment to becoming a global AI innovation hub, enhancing technological capabilities and creating future-ready talent in the state.
