The BJP leadership is likely to expand the Union Cabinet soon, and Telangana may get another ministerial post. Reports suggest that BJP is considering a BC community leader from the state for the role. Telangana Union Minister Post discussions have intensified in political circles ahead of the expected cabinet reshuffle.
At present, Telangana has BJP leaders like G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar in the Union government. Now, Telangana Union Minister Post speculation has brought the names of Etala Rajender and Dharmapuri Arvind into focus.
The BJP reportedly wants to strengthen its support among BC voters before the next Telangana Assembly elections. Political analysts believe Etala Rajender may have an edge because of strong support from the Mudiraj community. However, Dharmapuri Arvind is also actively lobbying for a cabinet berth.
There is also discussion that some ministerial portfolios may change during the reshuffle. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader D. K. Aruna may receive a key role in the Telangana BJP organization.
