Telangana Unveils Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026–30 in Davos
The Telangana government has launched its Next-Generation Life Sciences Policy 2026–30 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The policy aims to attract $25 billion in investments and create around 5 lakh jobs in the life sciences sector over the next five years.
The policy focuses on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare innovation. It offers incentives such as tax benefits, infrastructure support, and research funding to encourage domestic and global companies to set up operations in Telangana.
Officials said the state plans to strengthen research, skill development, and industry-academia collaboration, making Telangana a hub for life sciences in India.
The initiative also aims to boost healthcare services, exports, and innovation, while supporting startups and entrepreneurs in the sector. Government leaders said this policy will position Telangana as a global destination for life sciences investment and technology.
