Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said Telangana has urged the Centre to supply enough urea for farmers. He assured cultivators that they should not worry, as the government is focused on welfare and development under Praja Palana.
On Thursday, the minister visited Akunuru village in Saidapur mandal. He laid the foundation for a dormitory hall, school repairs, and drainage works worth ₹90 lakh at the KGBV school. He also inaugurated a ₹5 lakh open gym and handed over steel banks to women’s groups.
Later, he opened new open gyms in Venkateshwarlapalli and Budidapalli villages, each built at a cost of ₹5 lakh. He laid the foundation for a ₹12 lakh Anganwadi building in Budidapalli. At Eklaspur, he inaugurated a ₹20 lakh Gram Panchayat building and once again distributed steel banks.
Prabhakar said the government is committed to rural infrastructure and women’s empowerment. District Collector Pamela Satpathy, Additional Collectors Ashwini Tanaji Wakade and Lakshmi Kiran, Market Committee Chairman Dontha Sudhakar, mandal officials, Congress leaders, and local representatives joined the programs.
