Tension Erupts in Tadipatri as YSRCP Rally Blocked by Police

Tension in Tadipatri as police stop YSRCP rally led by Kethireddy Pedda Reddy amid protests and TDP events.

High tension prevailed in Tadipatri town of Anantapur district as clashes erupted between TDP and YSRCP activities. Supporters of both parties planned separate events on Wednesday, forcing police to step in and control the situation. Police stopped YSRCP leaders from holding a rally led by Kethireddy Pedda Reddy.

The YSRCP rally was planned to protest against the privatization of medical colleges. At the same time, TDP MLA J.C. Asmith Reddy was scheduled to launch several development programs nearby. The events were set to occur close to Pedda Reddy’s residence, prompting police to reach the location to prevent unrest.

Police advised Pedda Reddy to shift the rally to another area to avoid clashes, but he refused. He expressed anger, saying the rally had already received official police permission. He questioned why police were now blocking it despite earlier approval.

A heated argument broke out between Pedda Reddy and the police, creating chaos in Tadipatri. Security forces were deployed across key points to maintain order and prevent further disturbances in the tense area.
