Officials said the toll fee increased on national highway in Bihar by around 3% to 6%. Different rates now apply for cars, commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks. Smaller vehicles will pay about ₹5 more, while commercial vehicles may pay up to ₹45 extra depending on the category.
At the Didarganj toll plaza on the Patna–Bakhtiyarpur highway, the toll for cars will rise from ₹135 to ₹140. Light commercial vehicles will pay ₹215 instead of ₹205. Buses and trucks will now pay ₹435 instead of ₹410.
Authorities confirmed that the new rates will apply at toll plazas including Didarganj, Naubatpur, Paithna, and Bihari Bigha in Patna district. Monthly passes and return trip charges have also been revised.
Officials added that about 12,000 vehicles currently pass through the Didarganj toll plaza every day after traffic dropped following the construction of Patna Marine Drive.
