*TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud* strongly criticized the BJP’s involvement in Telangana Liberation Day celebrations, questioning their relevance to *September 17. Speaking in a chit-chat, Goud asked, “What connection does BJP have with **September 17?” He highlighted that the BJP had no role in opposing the Razakars and in the Telangana armed struggle. Goud further criticized the BJP for its admiration of individuals like **Godse* and stated that the party has no historical association with India’s freedom movement.
He also questioned the BJP’s focus on Hyderabad while ignoring *Junagadh*, which also merged with India on September 17. Goud accused BJP leaders of using the occasion for political gain rather than honoring the real struggle for Telangana’s liberation.
Regarding the *Kavitha episode*, he stated that the Congress remains aligned with its principles, welcoming any new parties formed within a democratic framework.
