A tragic accident occurred in Karnataka after a tractor falls from Tungabhadra Bridge, killing seven passengers and injuring several others. The tractor falls from Tungabhadra Bridge near Munirabad in Koppal district on Friday, causing panic in the area.
According to police, a speeding tipper truck hit the tractor from behind while it was crossing the Tungabhadra bridge. Due to the strong impact, the driver lost control and the tractor plunged off the bridge. Several people were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Seven passengers, including a child, died in the crash. More than ten others suffered serious injuries. Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby government hospitals in Koppal and Hosapete.
Reports say the victims were returning from a religious fair at the Huligemma temple when the tragedy occurred. Police registered a case and started an investigation into the accident.
