Train supervisor arrested as gang leader in phone theft network with 18 stolen smartphones

In Bihar, a train supervisor was arrested as gang leader in phone theft network after police found 18 stolen smartphones with him during a railway police operation. The phones were stolen from different trains and were being sent toward the India-Nepal border for resale.

The train supervisor was arrested as gang leader in phone theft network when Danapur Railway Police acted on a tip-off about a mobile theft racket. The accused, identified as Sushil Kumar Singh from Supaul district, had reportedly worked with the gang for nearly a year. Police also arrested two other members who helped collect and distribute the stolen phones.

Officials said the gang operated across several states and used railway routes to move stolen goods. The suspects admitted that they planned to sell the smartphones in Nepal. Police are now investigating the wider network and trying to identify more members involved in the racket.
