US President Donald Trump started his second UK state visit on Wednesday, receiving royal honors from King Charles III. Trump attended a grand state dinner at Windsor Castle, where he thanked the UK. He said the US and UK have done more for humanity than any other countries in history. Trump also emphasized the importance of upholding the values of the English-speaking world.
Trump is the only US president to receive the honor of a second UK state visit. He jokingly remarked, “This is the second state visit, and maybe the last time.”
The visit featured a stunning display, with the largest guard of honor in living memory—120 horses and 1,300 troops. There were also carriage rides, an air show, and a Windsor Castle banquet.
After dinner, Trump traveled to Chequers, where UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his wife welcomed him. During the visit, the UK announced that US companies had pledged £150 billion in investments, including major deals in AI, quantum computing, and nuclear energy.
Protests occurred, with demonstrators projecting images of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein.
