Trump said the United States played a key role in encouraging dialogue. He added that America now acts like a “real United Nations” by resolving global conflicts. Trump claimed he helped prevent or settle several wars over the past 11 months.
He praised the leadership of both nations for showing wisdom and restraint. Trump said peaceful coexistence would benefit the region and global stability.
The statement came a day before Trump’s scheduled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The meeting will focus on a proposed 20-point peace formula for the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
