Washington: Former U.S. President Donald Trump made intriguing remarks when asked by a reporter whether he expected to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump said that while many countries had nominated him, he could not say for certain whether he would receive the award.
“ We stopped seven wars, and we’re close to ending an eighth . Even the Russia situation can be settled ,” he said, emphasizing his efforts to promote global peace and diplomacy during his tenure. Trump claimed that no other leader in history had worked to end so many conflicts. However, he added sarcastically that despite these achievements, “they will still find a reason not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize.”
His comments reflect Trump’s long-standing belief that his diplomatic accomplishments, such as peace deals in the Middle East, have not been adequately recognized by international institutions.
