Twist in Kurnool Bus Fire: Police Hunt for ‘Third Driver’
Andhra Pradesh police have taken a new turn in the investigation of the tragic Kurnool bus fire, which claimed multiple lives. Authorities are now searching for a so-called “third driver” involved in the incident. Until now, two individuals have been booked: the main bus driver, M. Lakshmaiah, and the bus owner, Vemuri Vinod Kumar. A second driver, Shiva Narayana, who played a key role in rescuing passengers from the burning vehicle, has not been charged.
Police suspect that the third driver may have had a role in the events leading up to the fire, although details about his identity and whereabouts remain unclear. The investigation is ongoing, with officials examining vehicle records, CCTV footage, and eyewitness accounts to piece together the sequence of events. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to aid the inquiry. The state government has expressed condolences and promised a thorough probe.
